Day 01 : Arrive-Chennai
On arrival in Madras meet and transfer to Hotel.

Chennai
, (formerly Madras) the first city of Tamil Nadu, is a comparatively a new city. The erstwhile villages of Mylapore, Triplicane, Ezhambur (Egmore) etc. all now a part of Chennai, have a recorded historical past centuries older than Chennai. Chennai, the present gateway to the South of India, is itself, however, only about 350 years old.

Chennai, the fourth largest city in India, is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The city has a decidedly colonial charm to it. The place has a fine manifestation of tradition and modernity. Among the many attractions of the city is the Madras Snake Park where over 500 species of snakes and reptiles are on display.

Day 02 : Chennai
Excursion to Vedanthagal Bird Sanctuary. Board the overnight train to Mettupalpyam.

Day 03 : Arrive- Mettupalpyam
Transfer to Madumalai. Late afternoon , a trek through the scrub jungles of Madumalai Wildlife sanctuary.
he sanctuary was set up in 1932 and since then has emerged as an important wildlife conservation park of India. Evergreen forests, grasslands, swamps and a wide variety of wildlife are the main characteristics of this park. Wildlife here includes Indian elephants, Gaur, tigers, panthers, deer, wild boar and monitor lizards. The sanctuary also abounds with civets, antelopes, langurs and macaques.

Day 04 : Madumalai
Visit to deciduous forests and Madumalai Sanctuary.

It is Located in the thick forests of the northern Nilgiris, Mudumalai is famous for its wildlife sanctuary. It is noted among one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries of India. Nestled amidst the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu, Mudumalai is a part of the greater Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The range of wildlife is the same as in Bandipur (another famous sanctuary near it) but the Mudumalai has two features which makes it different from its neighbor-the Moyar river, and proximity to the Nilgiri mountain ranges which give it wider access to varied wildlife including elephants and gaurs.

Day 05 : Madumalai - Bandipur - Madumalai
Day excursion to Bhandipur Wildlife Sanctuary.
Overnight stay at jungle resort.

Day 06 : Madumalai-Mukurthy
Drive to Mukurthy Wild life Sanctuary, on arrival check in jungle resort.
Overnight stay at jungle resort.

Day 07 : Mukurthy
Explore Shola forest. Overnight stay at jungle resort.

Day 8: Mukurthy-Ooty
Drive to Ooty, on arrival in Ooty.
Ooty, is also known as "Udhagamandalam". It's been rightly titled as the as Queen of Hills. Ooty, the headquarters of The Nilgiris district is one of the famous hill stations in India. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above mean sea level.

Day 9: Ooty-Annamalai
Drive to Annamalai: Drive to Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival in Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary check in lodge. Stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 10: Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary
Trip to elephant camps and forest. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 11: Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary
Trip to Anagundi and Varagaliarrain forests. Overnight stay at Lodge.

Day 12:Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary
Trip to Parambikulam wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight stay at Lodge.

Day 13: Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary - Munnar
Drive to Munar. En-route visit Chinnar Sanctuary. On arrival in Munar check in Hotel.
Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani & Kundala. A tour of this pleasant hill station, situated 1600 metres above sea level, will reveal why it was once the summer holiday resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.Sprawling Tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Among the exotic flora that you will see on your tours of the forests and grasslands in Munnar Hills is the Neelakurinji. Munnar also has Anamudi - the highest peak in South India - which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking and camping tours.

Day 14: Munnar-Periyar
Drive to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Periyar wildlife sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a permanent source of water for the local wildlife. Though its a Tiger Reserve, tourists come here to view the Indian elephants in the act of ablution and playfulness by the Periyar lake.
Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 15: Periyar
Cruise on Lake Periyar. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 16: Periyar-Cochin
Drive to Cochin, on arrival in Cochin check in Hotel.
Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 17: Depart-Cochin
Transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey.
